Growing, unique corporate consulting firm of 80 + employees seek an Accountant. We are looking for an individual ready to roll up their sleeves to help us implement and execute our future accounting process to meet our rapidly growing business requirements. The Accountant will perform a variety of duties such as reconciling accounts, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and assisting with various analysis and ad hoc support. This is a full-time position working out of our office in Bethesda, Maryland and reports to the Director of Administration. Only local candidates able to commute to the office will be considered.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Reconciliation and input of all receipts to ensure timely postings to the general ledger.
Perform various daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks to include general ledger maintenance, account analysis, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
Responsible for credit card reconciliation and management
Perform monthly balance sheet and intercompany account reconciliations and variance analysis
Perform monthly WIP analysis and assist with invoice preparation
Support monthly and year-end close, including assisting with annual review requests
Maintain financial and accounting systems sufficient to meet the needs of the organization
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
CPA or working toward CPA, not required but preferred
Three years of experience in accounting, preferably with consulting or similar professional services firm with hourly billing
Experience with QuickBooks, time management software and advanced Excel skills
Attention to detail, knowledgeable of GAAP and tax
Exceptional time management skills and strong data entry management skills

Compensation & Benefits This role comes with a highly competitive salary ($85,000 - $135,000) and bonus structure. This posted range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
