Job Summary
The Accountant 3 is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks with moderate complexity and requiring a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role supports the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and reports, and ensures compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries related to inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
Analyze financial data related to production costs, sales performance, and supply chain expenses.
Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making.
Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and healthcare industry-specific financial regulations.
Cash management, reconciling bank accounts, foreign currency transactions.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial databases.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
