The Accounting Manager will lead all general accounting functions and support the Director of Finance and Executive Leadership in projects related to service expansion, housing initiatives, and government funding compliance. This role plays a critical part in audits, financial reporting, and fiscal governance. The Accounting Manager collaborates across departments to ensure the integrity of financial systems and processes, while also managing the full accounting cycle for Fello’s housing subsidiaries. As a member of the Leadership Council, the Accounting Manager contributes to organization-wide strategy and impact.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing accounting functions, preparing complex financial reports, and overseeing audits. They should be skilled in using financial systems such as Sage Intacct, and possess strong analytical capabilities to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, organizational leadership, and team development skills are essential. The candidate should be highly motivated, adaptable, and capable of working autonomously to meet deadlines in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field and at least five years of progressive experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. CPA/CMA or MBA credentials are preferred. Experience with Medicaid, DDA funding, or housing-related finance is strongly desired.
