We are seeking a full-time Accounting & Operations Manager to join a small, entrepreneurial team. This critical role supports both financial and administrative functions across the organization, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, accurate accounting, and effective support for senior leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, is highly organized, and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare timely, accurate, and compliant monthly financial reporting packages—including balance sheets, cash flow reports, and income statements—using Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting platforms.
Manage budgets, capital calls and distributions, and ongoing financial reporting for investors.
Oversee the annual tax cycle, including the preparation and coordination of 1099s, 1098s, and K-1s for both partners and investors.
Collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to generate detailed financial reports.
Lead administrative and organizational efforts, such as establishing filing protocols, managing the firm’s calendar, and generating key reminders.
Coordinate with vendors, partners, and external teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Manage and track quarterly distributions to partners and clients.
Support special finance and administrative projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate, private equity, or investment management.
Experience preparing working papers for external accountants, tax counsel, and joint venture partners is highly desirable.
Proficiency in a Mac environment, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Adobe.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, time management, and follow-through.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
