Shriners Children’s New England is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dedicated, mission-driven team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment, supporting surgical and outpatient pediatric orthopedic care for children and adolescents.
This position entails a 1.0 FTE commitment with a Monday through Friday schedule, 800am to 500pm, with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call requirements. This is a salaried, exempt, full-benefits eligible position. The pay range for this position is $108,632.78-$162,939.29. Compensation is determined based on years of clinical experience and departmental equity.
Perform age-appropriate health assessments, physical exams, and develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Manage pre- and post-operative care for pediatric orthopedic patients across clinic and surgical settings.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications and treatments within licensure and Shriners Children’s protocols.
Assist in specialty surgical procedures and perform routine clinical interventions.
Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and care conferences to ensure coordinated, family-centered care.
Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment plans and home care.
Document all care in the electronic health record and contribute to quality, safety, and improvement initiatives.
Serve as a mentor or preceptor when assigned and maintain all licensure, certifications, and institutional standards.
Education
If Physician Assistant
Master of Physician Assistant Studies (or equivalent degree) from an accredited Physician Assistant program
If Nurse Practitioner
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Experience
2+ years of clinical experience in a pediatric or pediatric specialty setting preferred. New graduates will also be considered based on clinical experience.
Experience with pediatric orthopedic patient populations preferred
Certification and Licensures
If Physician Assistant
Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
If Nurse Practitioner
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of practice
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or equivalent board certification in applicable specialty area, such as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC, CPNP-PC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification or eligibility to obtain it upon hire

Must possess eligibility for active DEA
Must possess Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS for HCP). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required based on clinical assignment
Credentialing and privileging by the medical staff in accordance with hospital bylaws
