We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced and strategic Office Managing Partner (OMP) to lead and grow the DC Metro Office of a nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in one of the following areas: Audit/Assurance, Tax or Advisory, proven practice leadership experience, and a vision for expansion in the Mid-Atlantic market.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior-most leader of the DC Metro office, accountable for office performance, talent development, and client satisfaction
Lead and mentor high-performing partners and professionals across audit/assurance, tax, advisory, and accounting services
Drive organic growth through relationship expansion, new business development, and strategic market positioning
Oversee office-level financial performance, forecasting, profitability, and resource allocation
Collaborate with firm leadership to execute on national strategy while adapting to local market dynamics
Serve as a cultural ambassador, reinforcing the firm’s values, DEI priorities, and collaborative ethos
Lead succession planning and talent development to ensure a sustainable leadership pipeline
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in public accounting, advisory, or tax with a strong client-facing and leadership track record
Prior leadership of a service line, office, or industry vertical at a regional or national firm preferred
Deep expertise (audit/tax/advisory) and the ability to engage clients at the executive or ownership level
Demonstrated success in growing a book of business and/or expanding a practice area
CPA designation strongly preferred; advanced degree or credentials a plus
Highly strategic thinker with the ability to lead change and inspire teams
Local market presence or deep familiarity with the Mid-Atlantic client base
