Job Description
As an Assistant General Counsel here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice and support to our business on all facets of government contracting (both domestic and international), as well as related compliance and regulatory issues. Your expertise in government contracts, contract drafting and negotiation, teaming agreements and licensing, and government contracts compliance will be instrumental in your success in this role.
You will report directly to our Vice President and General Counsel, Defense & Space and you will work out of our Washington, DC or Phoenix, AZ locations on a Hybrid work schedule.
This role will primarily be focused on supporting Honeywell’s Electronic Defense Systems (EDS) portfolio, with additional assignments across the Honeywell Aerospace Technologies business. You will serve as the general counsel for EDS, managing a highly talented team with responsibility for all legal and contractual issues affecting the EDS portfolio. Your contributions will ensure that Honeywell operates ethically, legally, and with integrity, allowing the company to continue its mission of creating innovative solutions that improve the quality of life for people worldwide.

- Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Successfully prevent, manage and resolve disputes.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6+ years of experience practicing law.
- Strong knowledge government contracts law and associated regulations.
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Experience in managing legal risks and compliance matters.
- A U.S. Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- 8+ years of experience in a legal role, preferably with a mix of in-house and law firm experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
