The Assistant Superintendent – Dry Utility Installation supports the field operations of dry utility infrastructure projects, with a focus on underground duct bank and conduit installation, concrete structures, and handholes. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and schedules. While data center experience is preferred, it is not required.

Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily field operations for dry utility installation, including trenching, conduit placement, duct bank construction, and installation of handholes and concrete structures.
Motivate crew foremen and crews to exceed production goals on a daily basis
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and execution of work.
Monitor field productivity and quality, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Support the Superintendent in maintaining project schedules and resolving field issues.
Conduct site inspections and verify installation against design drawings and utility standards.
Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, and documentation of work progress.
Assist with utility coordination, including inspections and scheduling with local utility providers.
Promote and enforce safety protocols and ensure all personnel adhere to company and regulatory safety requirements.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to planning and logistics discussions.
Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
2+ years of experience in dry utilities
Experience leading a crew or crews successfully
Knowledge in dry utilities (Duct bank, conduit, structures)
Strong communication skills
Ability to read plans, stake out, and cut sheets
Valid Drivers license
Physical Requirements:
Employee must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
