Summary:

Rockwoods is seeking an Associate Business Analyst for our client in Tysons, VA, with 2–3+ years of experience in the banking/financial services domain—preferably in core banking systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of end-to-end business processes and the ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements for banking products and services.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
• Analyze current processes, identify gaps, and recommend system or process enhancements.
• Support system configuration, data mapping, and preparation of functional specifications.
• Assist in testing activities (UAT, regression) to ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
• Utilize basic coding/querying skills (SQL, scripting) to validate data, reports, and system outputs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related discipline.
• 2–3+ years of business analysis experience in banking/financial services.
• Good understanding of core banking operations, deposit products, and transaction processing.
• Basic technical skills in SQL, scripting, or other programming languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
