Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking for a challenging role in the Accounting + Finance industry? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, where you'll be responsible for managing a wide range of financial tasks. The successful candidate will be a key player in managing our financial health and making sure we’re compliant with all regulations.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
• Prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
• Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
• Monitor financial activities and details to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
• Leverage your expertise in Healthcare Accounting to navigate the unique financial challenges of the healthcare industry.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA would be an advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in GAAP, tax, and financials.
• Proven audit experience, with the ability to work with external auditors and manage internal controls.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial terms in simple language.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify financial discrepancies and propose effective solutions.
• The ability to work independently, while also being a strong team player.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
