We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Kensington, Maryland. This Contract position requires expertise in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of QuickBooks and experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments. • Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing and collection efforts. • Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Utilize QuickBooks Online to organize and track financial data effectively. • Collaborate with team members during virtual meetings to address bookkeeping needs. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for auditing and reporting purposes. • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as required. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly. • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies. • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for managing financial transactions. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Experience performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Familiarity with financial regulations and best practices. • Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools such as Teams.
