Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will lead the functional/business and data analysis. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in documenting business requirements, data mapping document and functional specifications document. The candidate will be required to work with different teams, support functions and vendor resources, and be proactive and focused on team assignments as well as individual responsibilities. Candidate will be expected to initiate, participate and embed innovation into appropriate tasks. They must have strong business acumen, envisioning and building value-streams based on critical business needs related to data, analytics and insight discovery.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and Documentation:
  • Conduct detailed analysis of as-is country sovereign risk and portfolio management business processes.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Analyze existing data sources, reports and data needs along with tools and processes used
  • to load the data. Document data specifications and mapping document.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate the requirements.
• Design and Development:
  • Design report/ dashboard mock-up, document underlying data to be used, data
  • transformation required and simple/ complex formulae.
  • Work closely with IT teams to implement data and reporting solutions.
• Testing and Validation:
  • Develop test plans and test cases. Conduct testing to ensure reporting solutions meet requirements.
  • Validate the accuracy and reliability of data and dashboards/reports.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in data and dashboards/reports.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including finance, risk management, and IT teams.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Primary interface for offshore and onsite project teams
• Training and Support:
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data reporting solutions.

Required Skills/Experience

• Must have skill set: Very good experience in business analysis, data analysis, requirements and data
• mapping documentation, experience documenting reporting specifications. Excellent
• communication skills. Knowledge of Dremio and power BI is a plus.
• Technologies: SQL, Oracle, Azure Data Lake, Python (preferable)
• Business Domain: Prior experience and knowledge of Capital markets, Credit Risk Management,
• Financial risk management and/ or finance / Accounting
• Years of relevant experience: 6 to 7+ years
