Business Analyst – Product Team

This is a hybrid position, 2-3 days onsite in DC. TS SCI clearance required.

As a Business Analyst within our Product Team, you will play a key role in ensuring our client’s IT products meet customer needs and align with business goals. You will partner closely with product leadership to identify, elicit, and refine requirements, while also facilitating team ceremonies and ensuring strong communication across stakeholders. Operating within a continuously evolving Agile and DevSecOps environment, you will proactively adapt, support organizational maturity, and help deliver innovative, mission-critical software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate business needs into clear product backlog items.
• Support the Product Manager in backlog prioritization, product roadmap creation, and management.
• Assist the team in estimation, complexity assessments, test planning, and artifact management.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement).
• Track and manage internal and external dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Generate and manage product knowledge bases, body of evidence (BOE) submissions, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficient product development and delivery.
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, and M365 for backlog management, reporting, and collaboration.
• Analyze team and product performance using data-driven insights.
• Organize and facilitate meetings with team members, customers, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in Agile software product delivery or supporting a development team.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• General knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies (Scrum, AgilePM, or SAFe).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with backlog management (Epics, Features, User Stories).
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Ability to be on-site at a client SCIF in Washington, D.C.
• Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Interest in data science topics and methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
• Knowledge of government risk management frameworks (RMF) and cybersecurity authorization processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in a similar business analyst role.
• Experience across the full SDLC.
• Background in user research and deriving actionable insights.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with cloud budgeting and forecasting.
• Relevant certifications (Agile, AWS, or BA-related).
• Passion for staying up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
