C# / .NET Software Engineer - Hedge Fund Operations - Greenfield

Senior Software Engineer with primary skills in C# .NET, Java or Scala, sought to join a brand-new engineering function tasked with building brand-new, greenfield Post-Trade Products from the ground-up.

Our client is a world-class Quantitative Research and Engineering firm, operating as part of a wider Hedge Fund and Private Equity group of companies. Following two senior hires of industry leaders in the Buy Side Treasury space, they are now looking to hire a team of four local Senior Software Engineers in Stamford, Connecticut. The target architecture will be .NET Core, with Scala, Python and TypeScript / Angular; spanning robust server-side components, a HPC / Computation platform, and slick User Interfaces. The team will also interact heavily with Quantitative Research, Trading Technology Engineering teams, and end-client Business Heads.

Requirements

• 5+ year commercial track-record of engineering high-quality software in a modern Object-Oriented language – ideally C#, Java or Scala.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals and modern Software Engineering practices.
• Front End engineering experience in Angular, React, WPF or similar preferred.
• Relevant project experience in Hedge Fund Middle Office and/or Back Office such as Trade Capture, Fund Accounting, Position Management, Trade Lifecycle, STP, Confirmations, Reconcilliations, Operations.
