TI’s Law Department is seeking a highly motivated attorney experienced in corporate compliance matters to join our legal team. This role will place you in a dynamic environment supporting a global semiconductor business where you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping TI leaders navigate a rapidly evolving legal and compliance landscape.
In this role, you will be an individual contributor on a broader worldwide compliance team, helping to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, investigating compliance-related issues, and working to continuous strengthen the compliance program. The position is based in TI’s Washington DC office, reporting to the Assistant General Counsel for Compliance. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of compliance programs generally, and in particular compliance-related audits and investigations. Key areas include internal investigations, compliance risk assessments, and program testing. Candidates must have a law degree and be admitted to practice law.
Roles And Responsibilities
Oversee compliance-related audits and internal investigations
Identify potential compliance risks and help develop strategies to mitigate those risks
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure TI’s compliance program comprehends changes to the legal and regulatory environment
Provide legal advice on corporate policies and procedures and related training
Prepare a variety of written legal communications
Maintain strong communications channels between internal teams and compliance area owners
Help to foster a culture of ethical behavior
Some domestic and occasional international travel required.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Law degree from an accredited law school (JD or LLM)
Licensed to practice law in Washington DC
5+ years practicing law and experience in compliance matters
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as an in-house attorney in a compliance role
Knowledge of compliance program operations
Ability to give practical, strategic, business-oriented advice and recommendations
Ability to establish strong relationships and to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
Strong time management skills that enable executing with urgency on critical projects
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is shown below.
Pay Range: $138,000 - $295,500 per year
