Controller

Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company based in Baltimore, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead their accounting operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about building scalable financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Implement and optimize ERP systems to support financial operations.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors preferred.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
