The Customer Service Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of LayerZero’s Power Systems, Inc. This position involves hands-on service, technical support, and customer interaction, both on-site and remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a customer-first mindset.
Requirements
PRIMARY DUTIES:
This Position Includes The Following Primary Duties
Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment:
o Static transfer switcheso Power distribution equipmento Remote power panels
Provide customer support while on site and via email and phone
Maintain timely and detailed service records in the LayerZero system
Provide emergency response for critical incidents
Regularly scheduled time slots for 1-844-855-5977 LayerZero 24/7 incident response
Experience, Skills & Education
Service experience with electric power systems – Required.
Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills – Required.
Ability to read diagrams and schematics – Required.
Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards via PC based programs – Required.
Safety awareness and electrical PPE knowledge – Required.
Associate degree in electrical field – Preferred.
Electronics or electrical training from military service – Preferred.
Clean driving record – Required.
US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status - Required.
WORK LOCATION:
Training to be conducted at LayerZero Headquarters in Aurora, Ohio.
Field service work is performed at customer sites through the US and Canada. Travel is required.
At times, weekend or possibly holiday work will be required.
