Base pay range
Within CO+I, Datacenter Construction Delivery (DCD) is responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business meeting all safety, quality, sustainability, schedule, and budget requirements.
We are looking for a Director, Construction Project Management to provide critical leadership, ownership and accountability for the team's deployment and delivery of large-scale, campus and/or regionally based delivery solutions to predictably deliver Datacenter capacity.

Responsibilities
- Manages team's deployment of large-scale, campus, and/or regionally-based delivery solutions while also socializing with regional leaders.
- Analyzes and recommends delivery options from a technical standpoint based on best practices and trends, supports the development and implementation of all organizational procedures and standards, and ensures they are followed by all team members and vendors.
- Orchestrates work with internal and external partners to resolve complex issues and ensures schedule predictability to contracted milestones and in doing so may significantly impact global construction projects.
- Reviews and provides feedback to the team and regional management regarding resource procurement, allocation, and human capital resources for future upcoming projects. Holds their team(s) accountable for on-schedule delivery of projects by ensuring project progress reports including scope, schedule, resources, and budget are provided.
- Manages the day-to-day coordination for meetings and activities with vendors, cost managers, and/or owner/architect/contractors.
- Facilitates collaboration with other internal teams.
- Reviews safe worksite(s) by adhering to organizational, industry procedures, and global safety policies.
- Establishes, reviews, and communicates risk mitigation goals and develops metrics, dashboards and/or scorecards to drive progress.
- Leads the day-to-day management of vendors.
- In addition, this role has people management responsibilities including driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance.
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience working on data center projects.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 15+ years experience working on data center projects.
- 10+ years project management experience.
- 10+ years people management experience.
