Kforce has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking a Director of Finance. Summary: The Director of Finance is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This role manages budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management. The Director of Finance works closely with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, ensure fiscal responsibility, and support long-term organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management, board members, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Manage internal controls and audit processes to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and monitor performance
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed
- Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive financial management experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
