Position Overview:
As Director in our M&A practice area, you will play a key role in driving growth across our expanding broadband and telecom portfolio. You will lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of mergers and acquisitions for our clients and help drive other strategic analysis. This high-impact position requires exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills, the ability to develop and deliver strong presentations to client Boards, CEO’s and other staff, and have a proven track record of executing
transactions.

Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Origination

• Proactively identify and assess acquisition targets and strategic partnerships in the broadband,
• fiber, and telecom sectors.
• Build and manage a pipeline of actionable opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with investment banks, brokers, industry leaders, and other key sources.

Financial Modeling, Valuation & Presentations

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investment returns, synergies, and deal structures.
• Conduct comprehensive valuation analyses using DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction methods.
• Create high-quality, executive-ready presentations and investment memos for deals and other strategic engagements.

Transaction Execution

• Lead end-to-end M&A processes, including due diligence, financial and strategic assessments, negotiations, and closing.
• Coordinate with client resources (legal, finance, engineering, operations) to ensure smooth execution.
  

Director, Valuation & M&A – Broadband & Telecom

• Support development and negotiation of LOIs, term sheets, and definitive agreements.

Market & Strategic Analysis

• Conduct ongoing industry research and competitive analysis to identify trends and inform M&A strategy.
• Willing to attend and present at key industry meetings.
• Provide insights on market dynamics, regulatory changes, and technology shifts.
• Monitor and assess post-acquisition integration and performance against deal objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA, CFA, CVA, and/ or ASA preferred.
• 6–10+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
• Proven ability to source, structure, and close deals; telecom or infrastructure sector experience
• strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel financial modeling skills and strong proficiency in developing executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-functional project management abilities.
• Experience with infrastructure due diligence or capital-intensive industries is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of fiber, broadband, telecom infrastructure, or wireless networks.
• Knowledge of rural broadband trends, including RDOF, BEAD funding, and middle-mile strategies.
