Mercy Medical Center is seeking two licensed and experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our Healthcare for the Homeless team located in Springfield, Massachusetts. One full-time (40 hours per week) provider and one part-time (20 hours per week) provider are needed.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established group of collaborative care clinicians in our outpatient clinics and telehealth environments to provide primary health care to a primarily homeless population. You will also lead, and serve as a professional resource, to Registered Nurses, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Medical Assistants, and Community Health Workers and provide advice and guidance necessary to resolve complex client problems. This includes advocating for clients within the health care system and the community to resolve barriers to care and sensitize service providers to the needs of the population.
The successful candidate will be Board Certified, have an active Massachusetts APRN license, a DEA X Waiver, have at least one to two years of experience as an APRN, and be a team player with an interest in providing compassionate, full-spectrum care for adult patients, especially those with behavioral health and substance abuse issues. Bilingual Spanish/English fluency is a plus. Experience in leading or supervising others is preferred. Selected candidates with qualifying outstanding educational loans may be eligible for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps.
