We are currently seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and experienced Financial Processing Analyst – specializing in IRAs, Wires, and Deceased Accounts Processing. Please do not apply if you do not have any related experience.
Requirements
A day in the life of a Financial Processing Analyst will include:
- Daily processing of incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests. This includes adhering to governing regulations, wire policies and procedures to ensure compliance. In addition to performing member verification, enhanced due diligence, system processing and fraud prevention.
- Maintaining Lafayette membership’s IRA portfolios by processing IRA requests and providing support to frontline staff in a timely manner. This includes processing new IRAs, contributions, distributions, account maintenance requests, and IRA and ESA tax reporting in
- accordance with applicable IRS rules and regulations.
- Being responsible for processing deceased members accounts which may include but is not limited to tasks related to proper communications to all parties involved, placing applicable holds, reclamations, updating account ownership, disbursements and resolving estate/probate settlement issues.
- Being responsible for recognizing patterns and trends of suspicious or fraudulent activity, following established procedures, and escalating to management; collaborating with the Fraud Team to minimize losses to members and the credit union.
- Complying in an accurate and timely manner with all annual mandated training requirements that pertain to your position at Lafayette Federal CU including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC/Cybersecurity/Diversity & Anti-Harassment/Fair Lending.
- Attending classes on estate planning and settlement. Recommending changes to improve service to the membership. Attending training sessions by Ascensus to ensure compliance with IRA rules and regulations. Trains and keep Lafayette staff informed of any new IRA rules and regulations.
- Preparing a variety of reports on an on-going basis. Performs other duties as assigned by the
- Financial Processing Manager and/or PVP of Financial Operations.
- Three to five years of similar or related experience
- High School Diploma

Pay: $53,000 - $60,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
