Manager of Financial Reporting – Len The Plumber/Master Trades Group

Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid – 2 days in-office / 3 days remote)

Work Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Standard business hours, with flexibility for reporting deadlines

Compensation: $140,000+ annually + Bonus Potential

Reports To: Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

What You’ll Do

Executive & Internal Financial Reporting

  • Prepare, analyze, and deliver monthly and quarterly internal management reports.
  • Partner with Accounting, Operations, and Business Units to validate and align financial data.
  • Present executive-level financial reports and board materials highlighting trends and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with FP&A leadership on strategic presentations for the Board, PE sponsors, and executives.

Private Equity & Lender Reporting

  • Manage financial reporting requirements for PE sponsors and lending partners.
  • Deliver timely reporting packages including covenant calculations, compliance certificates, and dashboards.
  • Serve as the primary contact for PE and lender reporting inquiries.

Reporting Accuracy & Process Optimization

  • Establish and improve financial reporting processes, controls, and scalability.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of all financial reporting.
  • Enhance reporting tools and dashboards using BI solutions (Power BI, Tableau).

Business Partnership & Collaboration

  • Align reporting with forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning in partnership with FP&A.
  • Work with Accounting during month-end close to ensure accurate results and timely analysis.
  • Contribute to system implementations and promote a data-driven culture.

Ad Hoc Analysis & Strategic Initiatives

  • Support ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, and executive-level initiatives.
  • Provide modeling and scenario analysis for investments, capital allocation, and operational improvements.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or related roles.
  • Experience in a PE-backed company or lender reporting environment highly preferred.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, accounting principles, and consolidations.
