This is a temporary position.
Reporting to Senior Manager, Loyalty Finance, the Senior Specialist will support Loyalty Partnerships accounts payable processes including, but not limited to, vendor setups, invoice reconciliation, and invoice payments according to company procedures. The primary focus of this role will be to support accounts payable Loyalty Enrollment Incentives and other partnerships as needed. Obtain, compile, analyze, and translate data into actionable financial information in support of the Program’s financial objectives for the Global Loyalty team, continents, hotels, and other key stakeholders. Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers. Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, and auditing reports and tables. Communicate and take ownership of assigned projects. Complete period-end closing procedures as assigned and reports as specified. Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Address stakeholder needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. CANDIDATE PROFILE
Required
Education and Experience
High school diploma/G.E.D.
Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience.
Preferred
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Excellent MS Office (Excel), Adobe, and Smartsheet skills
PeopleSoft Accounts Payable experience
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Ensure knowledge and understanding of Account Payable, job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
Complete vendor setup process including obtaining and reviewing proper documentation, data entry, and managing communications between vendor and MBS in a timely fashion.
Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.
Ensure invoices are paid timely and contractual obligations are met.
Informs and/or updates leaders, peers, and partners on relevant information in a timely manner.
Manages time well and possesses strong organizational skills.
Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise well-organized way.
Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.
Excellent and professional communication skills
Perform other duties as assigned to business needs.
The pay range for this position is $17.06 to $25.82 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
