A respected Texas-based heavy civil contractor is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations on a new, high-profile infrastructure project valued at over $100 million. Position Overview

The General Superintendent will manage all field operations from project startup to closeout, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources to meet safety, quality, and scheduling goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep TxDOT experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for a $100M+ infrastructure project.
• Manage and mentor superintendents, foremen, and crews.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring timely completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
• Enforce strict safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Support project buyout, change orders, and pay request approvals.
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure schedule and budget alignment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record managing TxDOT infrastructure projects.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of schedules, scopes of work, and trade coordination.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
