Job Summary: The Caregiver provides direct personal care and related services in the home that are allowed to be performed under state law. She/he functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the RN Supervisor. Must drive and have a car.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Help patients with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning.
Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for patients.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support
Skills
Ability to lift and move patients safely and with proper body mechanics.
Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings preferred.
Knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control protocols.
Must drive and have a car.
Valid driver's license for transportation purposes.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Understanding of social work principles for providing holistic care to patients.
Familiarity with dementia care practices and behavior management techniques.
Previous experience in homecare or related fields is a plus.

Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
Ability to think and work independently and with direction.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality
Up-to-date identification
Basic computer skills
Excellent personal hygiene
Pay: $18.00- $23 per hour
