Description
Position Summary
A Host is responsible for managing the Dining Room reservations on a day-to-day basis, greeting and seating guests in the dining room and printing daily and weekly menus for the Grill Room and Main Bar.
Position Responsibilities * Greet and seat members and their guests in the Grill Room * Work closely with the F&B Supervisors to assign server stations in Open Table nightly * Manage the flow of covers for each server station in the Grill * Assist F&B Supervisors in daily creation of menus and floor diagrams * Assist F&B Supervisors in daily creation of member photos for staff line-up * Be the first line of defense for the club's dress code and technology policy. Get Supervisors involved whenever necessary * Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of the host stand and its surroundings * Keep office items (such as paper, envelopes, staples, etc.) stocked * Keep office area clean and organized * Update mailbox names as needed

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace * Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process * Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written * Must possess basic computational ability * Must possess computer skills * Knowledge of reservations system * Knowledge of Microsoft Office functions * Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation. And to use suggestive selling techniques to encourage the members to choose items that are specialties * Food Handlers Certification is required
