The role

University of Bristol Students’ Health Service is a GP practice for University students and their dependents. We are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant (HCA) to work 2 days (14 hours) per week (Monday and Tuesday).

We are a close and friendly primary care practice team that includes GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, psychologists and other allied professionals at an award winning university health service. Situated within a purpose built practice in a beautiful setting.

We would encourage a visit to the practice to meet the team prior to application.

What will you be doing?

As an HCA you will support the work of the clinical staff and have responsibility for a range of clinical and administrative duties.

This will include

  • Phlebotomy (taking blood)
  • Taking observations
  • Urinalysis
  • Acting as a chaperone for coil clinics
  • Ordering medical supplies

You should apply if

You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic health care assistant with experience in a Primary Care setting, ideally with a special interest in the health of young people.
