Job Summary:
AllerVie is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our specialty clinic team focused on allergy and immunology care. This role involves administering injections, supporting allergy testing and immunotherapy, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and experienced in clinical workflows. Working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, the LPN plays a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care that supports AllerVie's mission to improve lives through high-quality specialty treatment.
Location: 622 Hebron Ave, Suite 104B, Glastonbury, CT, 06033
Pay Range: Starting pay is $27, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer allergy injections, immunotherapy, and biologic medications under provider supervision
Perform patient intake, collect vital signs, and assist with clinical assessments and allergy testing (e.g., skin testing, spirometry, Niox)
Accurately document all clinical activities and patient encounters in the EMR system
Monitor patients post-injection for reactions and provide follow-up care as needed
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication protocols, and safety practices
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and compliant clinical environment
Support inventory tracking, medication prep, and cold chain management
Collaborate with providers, clinical coordinators, and the biologics team to ensure smooth, patient-centered care
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
Current BLS certification required
1–2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient, specialty, or primary care setting preferred
Experience administering injections, immunotherapy, or biologic medications strongly preferred
Familiarity with allergy/immunology protocols, spirometry, and patient intake processes a plus
Proficient in documenting in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Strong communication, multitasking, and patient education skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment
Physical Requirements:
The employee must be able to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
