Mechanical Design Engineering Manager

Our client, a global leader in automated production technology, specializing in assembly and functional test systems, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering department supporting the development and design of complex automation and assembly systems, ensuring that engineering solutions meet customer requirements.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineering Manager

Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30043

Pay Range: $115,000-$135,000/yearly + Bonus

What’s the Job?

• Design and implement automation systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and problem solving support during design reviews, build, and commissioning. Participate in customer meetings and presentations as needed.
• Have 2 Mechanical Design Engineers as direct reports
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Strong experience and background in designing custom automation machinery or test equipment is required.
• 12+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or Creo for CAD applications is required.
• Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder**
