Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer 4 in Griffin, GA. The work will be done onsite. This is a long-term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $45/hr W2 + full benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay.

Job Description
The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
The Team is the factory facing group for the Medium Vee Product Group, the larger groups is responsible for the BOM and design of the engines.
Holds the radio for the team and is the first responder to Engineering shop calls on the factory floor.
Submits BIQ documentation and works with L3/L4/L5 Engineering to develop ECA and ICAs for issues.
Typical task breakdown:
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineering Shop Support Engineer to provide direct support to Medium Vee Engineering. This role bridges the gap between design and manufacturing, ensuring smooth execution of engineering tasks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Factory Floor Support:
Actively engage with production teams to support engineering needs.
Part Fit-Up & Assembly Support:
Support part fit-up activities, ensuring proper alignment, tolerances, and assembly of components.
Identify and resolve fit-up issues, escalating to engineering when necessary.
Technical Assistance:
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
Provide feedback to engineers on manufacturability and process improvements.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of shop activities, test results, and equipment usage.
Assist in updating work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Report issues and suggest corrective actions to engineering and quality teams.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and production staff to resolve technical challenges.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience Required:
Years of experience: 8 or more years related
