The Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of Monex USA’s banking operations function. This role is charged with driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure the delivery of scalable, client-centric solutions. Rather than focusing solely on daily activities, the Manager is expected to build a proactive and resilient operational framework that supports the company’s growth, mitigates risk, and enables innovation.
The Operations Manager will lead, coach, and develop a team of operations professionals, cultivating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and adaptability. Through close collaboration with stakeholders across Trading, Dealing, Compliance, IT, and Finance, you will ensure seamless integration of operational strategy with broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement a long-term vision for Banking Operations that aligns with Monex USA’s corporate goals. Identify opportunities for operational optimization, automation, and scalability.
Team Development & Coaching: Build and mentor a high-performing team. Develop training programs, create clear career development pathways, and foster a culture of ownership and operational excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a strategic partner to key departments including Trading, Sales, Compliance, and IT to align operational capabilities with business objectives.
Risk & Control Frameworks: Lead the design and refinement of control structures and governance processes that mitigate risk and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish, track, and report on key operational metrics (KPIs and SLAs) to assess performance, identify risks, and inform leadership decision-making.
Continuous Improvement & Change Management: Champion initiatives that modernize infrastructure, streamline processes, and enhance client service levels. Lead the team through change with clear communication and alignment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Banking Operations in strategic planning discussions, regulatory reviews, audits, and technology implementations. Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Shape recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Oversee onboarding processes to ensure fast ramp-up and cultural integration.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Operations, or related field preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience leading operations in financial services, preferably in payments, banking, or FX markets.
Proven track record of building, managing, and mentoring teams.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with operational tools and reporting systems; familiarity with exception management and reconciliation workflows.
Commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, adaptability, and innovation.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $100,000 to $120,000 based on experience with a 10% annual bonus.
