Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and driven Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our healthcare partner at an Assisted Living Facility in Hartford, Connecticut. This role is ideal for nurse practitioners dedicated to delivering high-quality pediatric care in a collaborative and culturally diverse environment. Candidates with pediatric experience are highly valued, though recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
In this rewarding role, the PNP will work alongside physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess, treat, and manage the health needs of pediatric patients. From conducting thorough physical assessments to coordinating care plans, the PNP plays a vital role in maintaining the wellbeing of young residents within a supportive and holistic care model.
🧑‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities
Provide pediatric health services under the supervision and collaboration of medical staff
Conduct physical exams, developmental screenings, immunizations, and health education
Order and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications as appropriate
Refer patients to specialty providers when advanced care is required
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Ensure delivery of culturally competent care to a diverse population
Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize health outcomes
Support patients and families through care planning and education
Adhere to regulatory and clinical protocols, including COVID-19 precautions
✅ Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with pediatric specialization
Current or eligible Connecticut APRN license
DEA and Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration (or eligibility)
BLS/CPR certification required
Strong communication, assessment, and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
EHR proficiency and documentation accuracy
Cultural competence in care delivery for diverse populations
Willingness to adapt to evolving clinical responsibilities
