Pharmacy Technician
Location: Portland, ME – 100% onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $19.22–$24.88/hour

Requirements: Active Maine Pharmacy Technician License or ability to obtain before start (2-day process, $62 fee, candidate responsibility)

We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for a back-office role with minimal patient interaction. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment. No prior pharmacy experience is required—training is provided for the right candidate with the willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate patient profiles, including demographics, insurance, and allergies
Enter prescription orders with precision and ensure timely fulfillment
Answer patient inquiries about pricing, product availability, and coverage; escalate clinical questions to pharmacists as needed
Support various pharmacy functions, including data entry, filling, shipping, inventory, and call center tasks
Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain regulatory compliance
Communicate with internal medical staff regarding refills and non-clinical medication questions
Assist with purchasing to help reduce costs for patients and the organization
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Active Maine Pharmacy Technician License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Strong computer skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Previous pharmacy or medical experience preferred, but not required
