General Description: NHFC is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant to join our practice
Supervision Received: Medical Director
Essential Functions
Evaluates patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and gathers patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
Perform transvaginal ultrasounds including: antral follicle count, monitoring during in vitro fertilization cycles, endometrial lining development, early obstetrical ultrasounds
Counsel patients on treatment options
Coordinate cycles for IVF, Egg Donor and Gestational Carrier cycles
Administers or orders diagnostic tests, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures necessary for the total care of patients with endocrine, structural, genetic, and fertility problems
Education
Graduation from an accredited PA program, current NYS licensure, BLS/ACLS certification and NCCPA board certification are required.
Experience
1-3 Years of experience preferred , preferably in the fertility or OBGYN field.
Requirements
The PA must have excellent communication skills and be a team player and possess strong clinical skills. This position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, colleagues and medical center.
