Proposal Specialist – Washington, DC (Hybrid)


An AmLaw 200 law firm is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to join its Marketing & Business Development team. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC (3 days per week in office).

The Role:

As a Proposal Coordinator, you’ll work closely with Proposal Managers and the Business Development team to support the preparation of RFPs, pitches, and proposals. This includes:

  • Drafting and editing proposal materials, attorney bios, and case studies.
  • Managing timelines to ensure high-quality submissions under strict deadlines.
  • Coordinating with attorneys and consultants to gather content.
  • Maintaining and updating proposal databases, libraries, and standard language.
  • Tracking proposal activity and assisting with win/loss analysis.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in proposal development, RFP responses, or business development in a professional services setting (law, consulting, accounting, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior professionals.
