We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Audit Manager with a deep understanding of the Insurance industry to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the flexibility to work remotely. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Accounting and Finance department, providing expert auditing services to our insurance industry clients. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in similar roles. As an Audit Manager, your key responsibilities will include
- Executing the full cycle of audit processes, including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
- Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans.
- Obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
- Preparing and presenting reports that reflect audit results and document the process.
- Acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement.
- Identifying loopholes and recommending risk aversion measures and cost savings.
- Conducting follow-up audits to monitor management's interventions.
- Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth and reliable auditing processes.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and training to junior staff.
- Experience with insurance companies - specifically property and casualty
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in auditing, preferably within the insurance industry.
- In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in STAT and other relevant auditing software.
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a strong sense of self-motivation and discipline.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing effective solutions.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with industry developments and updates in auditing standards.
