Position: Risk Analyst – Finance & Accounting

Location: McLean, VA (Remote)

Type: 3 Months Contract

Salary: $55/hr to $75/hr

Summary:

Our client, a global professional services leader, is seeking a Risk Analyst to support access review processes and second-line risk oversight across critical applications. This role requires someone who is both detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong knowledge of identity/access management (IAM), risk governance, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an application inventory and coordinate with application owners.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and documentation reviews to assess current access review policies and processes.
• Design 2nd line oversight processes including:
• SOPs, RACI matrices, timelines, and process flows
• Review templates and reviewer instructions
• QA checklists, KPI/metrics tracking, and evidence packages
• Provide subject matter expertise in access reviews, remediation, and audit response support.
• Pilot 2nd line monitoring processes and prepare documentation for internal audit remediation.
• Train both first-line reviewers and second-line monitoring teams via structured workshops.
• Draft governance documentation including program charters, delivery models, reporting frameworks, and risk assessments.
• Support implementation roadmap for review cycle scheduling, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Deep knowledge of access reviews and IAM controls.
• Strong process documentation and SOP writing skills.
• Background in risk oversight, governance, and second-line defense.
• Excellent communication and training facilitation abilities.
• Experience in financial services or insurance preferred.
