Safety Manager | Hartford, CT

The Safety Manager in Waterbury, CT supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.

• Oversee all aspects of site safety, with a focus on heavy civil, excavation, fall protection, scaffolding, and steel erection
• Conduct daily safety meetings, audits, and inspections
• Ensure OSHA and company compliance across all subcontractors and contractors
• Investigate incidents, complete accident reports, and implement corrective actions
• Provide general safety oversight, maintaining a visible presence in the field
• Partner with project leadership and crews to enhance hazard recognition and safe work practices
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
• Degree in a safety related field preferred
• OSHA 510 and or 500 a plus
• CHST or CSP required
• Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
