About this Job

As a Senior Accountant, you will be working directly with our CFO and Controller to build and administer key accounting processes. This role will be full-time in person Monday - Friday and based out of our Bethesda, MD corporate office.

What you'll be doing

• Review daily sales reporting and accounts receivable processing.
• Process and record all vendor invoices accurately and on time, ensuring proper approval and payment.
• Manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues.
• Communicate and coordinate with outside accounting firm on a need-as basis.
• Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring proper allocation and compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile and record credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Calculate commissions for eligible employees, ensuring accuracy in accordance with sales or performance targets and commission structures.
• Investigate any discrepancies between bank statements and general ledger balances, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and supporting documentation for financial reporting.
• Aid in automating and streamlining accounting workflows, where applicable, to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Provide general accounting support as needed, including special projects, data analysis, and process improvements.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with 2+ years of experience
