Senior Accountant

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage general accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to oversee complex financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Coordinate audits (internal and external) and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance financial accuracy and compliance.
• Support tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain documentation and policies for accounting procedures and practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
