Responsibilities
Apply intermediate accounting skills to perform routine and non-routine tasks involving the processing and reconciliation of two or more of the following:
Accounts payable and Vendor setup
Accounts receivable
Procurement or Sales order processing experience a plus
Labor/Timesheet processing
Deltek Time and Expense
Assist with account reconciliations
Assist with month end close
May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
Prepare reports for Senior Management
Listen for, identify, and resolve client issues and provide superior customer service
May conduct research and analysis
Execute accounting tasks in adherence to established controls/procedures
Report to a Project Director, Managing Director, or Vice President, Managed Accounting Services
Work under general supervision and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
Serve as a mentor to junior-level accountants
May serve as lead on short-term projects
May assist with supervision of accounting staff; may assist with performance management
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
4+ Years Professional Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience required
Able to proactively analyze complex situations and develop creative alternatives for improving results
Able to work effectively within a team
Able to engage effectively at the client peer-level
Able to take ownership of obtaining results within the parameters of own authority without waiting for others to follow up; actively seek to find ways to improve results; Suggest options that would improve the client’s and/or NeoSystem’s business results
Intermediate understanding of GAAP and basic industry-specific principles
Knowledge of industry compliance requirements (e.g. FAR in GovCon)
Proficient in computers and standard office applications (specifically in Microsoft Excel)
Proficient with Deltek Costpoint Accounting system
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with clients, peers, supervisors, and subordinates, both verbally and with written communications
Able to effectively lead a team to accomplish a specific task
Successful completion of third-party background investigation and credit check required.
