Senior Staff Accountant

JOOLA is seeking for a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team reporting directly to our Controller. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements to support our growing business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and regulatory requirements (domestic and international).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
• Support international accounting operations, including foreign currency transactions and intercompany reconciliations (if applicable).
• Assist with system implementations/upgrades (e.g., NetSuite) and drive automation initiatives.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred:

• CPA certification (or in progress).
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• International accounting experience (e.g., multi-currency, tax compliance).
• Experience in manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods industries.
