About the Role
This is not a typical Senior Tax Manager role—it is a build opportunity. The incoming leader will play a critical role in shaping the firm’s future strategy, service model, and organizational infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Include
Lead the Tax Team and Deliver Exceptional Work
Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax filings, including Forms 1040 and 1041.
Ensure high-quality, timely tax work and deliver strategic planning for an affluent client base while mentoring and growing a team.
Contribute to the firm’s growth-through-acquisition strategy by playing a key role in welcoming and integrating retiring CPAs, their clients, and team members.
Serve as a trusted leader who ensures continuity and earns confidence during transitions.
Collaborate closely with firm leadership to modernize systems, streamline workflows, and build a scalable operational foundation for future service lines and team expansion.
What They're Looking For
A minimum of 10 years of experience in tax advisory with specialization in HNWIs, S-Corporations, partnerships, and trusts
CPA license required
Previous experience at the Manager, Senior Manager or Director level within a CPA firm
Strong communication and client relationship skills, especially with complex financial structures
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead, problem-solve, and build
Based in Northern Virginia / Greater D.C. or open to relocation
