We are looking for a detail-oriented and hardworking Shop Technician to join our team. The Shop Tech will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, assembly, and preparation of equipment and parts to ensure they are in top condition for customer use. This role requires mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, machinery, and tools.
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services on shop and field equipment.
Assemble, test, and prepare new equipment for delivery to customers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Accurately complete service tickets, work orders, and repair documentation.
Assist with parts inventory management, including identifying worn or damaged parts.
Operate shop tools, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
Collaborate with team members to ensure jobs are completed on time and to quality standards.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a shop technician, mechanic, or similar role preferred.
Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of tools, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents.
Comfortable working with heavy equipment and machinery.
Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.
Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 150 lbs.
Work Environment and Schedule
Full-time position: **40-50 hours per week**.
May require modified shifts, including early mornings or late evenings, based on customer demands.
Requires working around heavy equipment, grease, oil, and shop tools.
