Location: Newport News, VA

Design life-saving tech that makes a real-world impact. My client, a leader in medical device innovation, is seeking a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer to craft mission-critical firmware for Class I/II devices. You’ll lead development efforts that keep patients safe and healthcare efficient.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems
  • Implement IEC 62304-compliant lifecycle processes
  • Write and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests
  • Support QA/RA audits and 510(k)/PMA submissions
  • Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and test teams

About You

  • Skilled in C/C++, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB
  • Familiar with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and ISO 13485
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M and wireless protocols (BLE/Wi-Fi)
  • Strong debugging and automated test scripting (Python preferred)
