LLE Education Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at our Woodbridge office. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations by performing a wide range of full-cycle accounting responsibilities. You will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial statements, records, and reports. This position will report to our Accounting Manager, with occasional oversight from the Chief Financial Officer. This position is based out our corporate office located in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Perform bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
Assist in fixed asset tracking and running depreciation
Conduct periodic inventory walkthroughs at centers and reconcile to the general ledger
Assist with the preparation of annual tax filings and external audits, including providing reconciliations, schedules and supporting documents
Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal financial policies
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Provide support to centers to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations, offering financial insights and assistance as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–3 years of accounting or finance experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficient in Microsoft excel and accounting software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective verbal and written communication skills
