Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and planning for various clients, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while minimizing tax liabilities. This role involves collaboration with other accounting professionals and providing strategic tax advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses including C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations while providing guidance on tax-related issues.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities for clients in various industries, including real estate and non-profit organizations.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Provide support during audits and work closely with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy of tax-related documentation.
• Assist in business consulting services to help clients improve their financial operations and tax positions.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members in tax-related matters and provide training as necessary.,
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or public accounting, with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
• Proficient in tax software such as QuickBooks and various tax preparation software.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and tax return preparation for individuals and businesses.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working with clients in real estate, dental, and non-profit sectors is preferred.
