Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee and review complex business and personal tax returns (multi-entity, multi-state, HNW)
Identify and document tax-saving opportunities during review process
Lead weekly tax team meetings to manage deadlines, workload, and strategy alignment
Ensure consistent and proactive client communication across the tax department
Develop and refine SOPs to improve efficiency and compliance
Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews for staff
Stay up to date on tax law changes, IRS updates, and advanced planning techniques
Partner with other departments to ensure client strategies are fully implemented and documented
You should have most of the following
Active CPA or EA license
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
8+ years of tax experience in public accounting with a focus on small businesses and HNW clients
4+ years managing and mentoring tax professionals in a team setting
Strong expertise in entity structuring, QBI, deferrals, cost segregation, and retirement planning strategies
Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and enforce SOP compliance
Proficiency with UltraTax, Karbon, Google Workspace; CRM experience (Go High Level preferred)
Comfort using AI/automation tools to improve team efficiency
