Job Description:
As a Tax Manager you will play a critical role in our firm's tax department, overseeing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. This role is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team of tax professionals and work with a wide variety of clients to address their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
Oversee the preparation and review of complex individual and business tax returns.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring optimal tax savings and compliance.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their financial objectives.
Represent clients during tax audits and examinations, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Conduct detailed financial analysis and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for accuracy and consistency.
Prepare comprehensive reports and financial statements for tax purposes.
Qualifications:
Active CPA license is required.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in public accounting with a strong background in tax compliance and planning.
Exceptional knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
MUST currently be working in a CPA firm
